How I create a Doll

Material:

Cotton shirt (specially for the fabrication of dolls)
Plastic mask for the face
Acrylic wadding for stuffing
Lamb fur for hair or a mohair wig
Also: special glue, polyester yarn, acrylic paints (eyes), brushes, pencils (lips, cheeks),the pattern for the doll's body (self-designed), fabrics, wool and ingredients for the clothes

Work steps:

Carefully glue a piece of doll's leotard onto the face mask (difficult!)
Transfer the pattern for 1 body, 2 arms, 2 legs and 1 back of the head onto the double leotard layer with a pencil.
Sew the individual parts with the sewing machine and a small zigzag stitch.
Cut out everything with a small seam allowance.
Sew the seams across the body and feet.
Turn and stuff all parts.
Sew the back of the head to the face part by hand with fine stitches, also work in ears. Stuff head.
Sew the head and body together.
Sew the toes on the feet, sew on the legs.
Sew on fingers on the hands, sew on arms.
Sew on mohair wig or stick a wig on from strips of fur.
Sew / knit clothes and put them on.
And only now paint the face !! Because clothes and hair give the doll a character that I can make visible by painting! This is the most beautiful and exciting moment of the whole work: the new doll child is looking at me! Until now it was becoming, now it has come into the world!
